Considering Everclear has written and recorded some truly iconic ’90s altrock hits, it would be all too easy thesedays for the band to be a victim of its past successes, relegated to performing as a glorified jukebox, existing tosatisfy the nostalgic cravings of Gen Xers everywhere. But singerguitarist Art Alexakis isn’t about to start phoningit in now.Everclear continues to tourextensively, and while it’s a virtual surety that no Everclear gig is complete without arendition of “Santa Monica” and “Father of Mine,” lately the band has found that exploring the full range of pastmaterialespecially the “deep cuts”not only gives fans a rare treat, it also injects new life into the band’s livedynamic.By mixing it up and digging into the catalogue,it still makes it funand relevant for us,and I think for the fans aswell,” says Alexakis. “It’s still important to play the hits, but by playing those other songsas well, it makes it allseem more vibrant and real.

FASTBALL

Formed in 1994 in Austin, Texas, Fastball combined a fondness for melodic, Beatles-inspired pop with the alternative aesthetic of late-’90s mainstream rock. Guitarist/vocalist Miles Zuniga, bassist/vocalist Tony Scalzo, and drummer Joey Shuffield — all veterans of Austin’s underground rock scene — originally banded together under the name Magneto U.S.A. After signing with Hollywood Records, the musicians changed their name to Fastball and released their debut album, Make Your Mama Proud, in 1996. The album demonstrated the band’s synthesis of modern flavor and bygone pop hooks, a combination that would later launch Fastball into the mainstream.

At its core, WARRANT is an American rock band through and through. Hitting it big in 1989, the Hollywood, CA based band rose through the ranks of the localSunset Strip scene to the level of multiplatinum selling, charttopping success.Theband first came into the national spotlight with their debut album Dirty RottenFilthy Stinking Rich. This album produced Radio and MTV chart toppers “DownBoys,” “Sometimes She Cries,” and the massive hit “Heaven” which reached #1in Rolling Stone and #2on the Billboard Hot 100 for two weeks in a row. Thesingle “Heaven” enjoyed Gold sales and the Album went Platinum in Canada aswell, eventually selling over 3 million copies. “Winger’s musical pedigree was practically unmatched in 80’s metal…the band crafted a debut album that combined hardpop melodies with plenty of proggy, technically dazzling instrumental work”Rolling Stone Magazine One of the most misunderstood Hard Rock bands to emerge from the late 1980’s are back with their Billboard Top 100 album “Better Days Comin'”. From the opening riff of album opener “Midnight Driver Of A Love Machine” to the final outro lick of“ Out Of This World”, it is clear Winger is back and better than ever. Hard rocking songs like “Queen Babylon”, adrenaline fueled rocker “Rat Race”, the inspired progressive rock of “Tin Soldier”, and touching ballad “Ever Wonder” display the band’s diversity whilst always centering on great songs
